"I create content to help a brand become seen, understood, remembered, and trusted."
From Curiosity to a Career in Social Media Marketing
I have always been fascinated by marketing. Long before I became a social media marketer, I wondered why certain posts caught my attention, why some reels stayed in my mind, and why people connected deeply with particular brands. At first, I was drawn to the creativity, visuals, trends, and energy of well-designed campaigns.
But the closer I looked, the more I realised that successful social media marketing was never only about attractive content. Behind every engaging post was a purpose. Behind every memorable reel was an understanding of audience psychology. Behind every growing community were consistency, research, and genuine communication. That discovery turned my curiosity into passion and shaped my professional journey.
I did not begin with all the answers. I learned by observing, researching, experimenting, making mistakes, and improving. Gradually, I stopped seeing social media as a collection of posts and saw it as a complete system: research creates insight, strategy guides content, and content starts conversations that build communities.

Building a Brand Through Social Media Strategy
At ANAX Capital, I received the opportunity to apply my knowledge within one of the most dynamic and challenging industries: financial markets. I managed the brand’s presence across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, and X. My primary goal was to strengthen brand awareness and help the company become more visible, recognisable, and relatable in a competitive market.
Working as a social media marketer in Dubai’s financial industry taught me how to balance creativity with accuracy, trends with professionalism, and engagement with responsibility. Subjects such as forex, CFDs, gold, commodities, cryptocurrency, global markets, and financial education can easily feel complex or intimidating. My role was to turn that information into clear social media content that people could understand, notice, and engage with without losing the meaning of the message.
Every month, I planned and coordinated approximately 12 to 18 core posts, supported by reels, daily stories, market updates, event content, and paid campaigns. My work included social media strategy, competitor research, campaign ideas, caption writing, platform optimisation, publishing, community management, Meta Ads, lead generation, and performance reporting. I stayed involved from the first idea until the content was published, analysed, and improved.
Research: The Foundation of Effective Content Strategy
Before creating content, I listened. I researched audience interests, competitor communication, platform-specific trends, successful reel formats, relevant keywords, hashtags, market conversations, and content gaps. This social media research helped me understand not only what people were discussing, but also what brands were failing to explain clearly.
Research gave every post a direction. It helped me choose topics, select the right format for each platform, and adapt one idea for different audiences. A LinkedIn post needed a different tone from a TikTok video, while an Instagram story had to communicate quickly and invite interaction. This process taught me that content creation begins long before design. Research, scripting, coordination, revisions, approvals, publishing, and analysis are the invisible work behind effective content.

Making Financial Content Human and Relatable
One of the most rewarding parts of my social media marketing journey was helping a financial brand communicate more naturally. People do not connect only with company logos; they connect with people, stories, and useful information. I coordinated content featuring sales professionals, team members, and company representatives so audiences could see the people behind ANAX Capital and hear directly from them.
Daily stories kept the brand active between major posts. Market updates, educational content, polls, campaign announcements, event moments, registration links, and behind-the-scenes content made communication more immediate. The feed established the brand’s identity, while stories showed that it was active every day. I also coordinated coverage for exhibitions, conferences, festivals, and company milestones. Through timely photographs, videos, reels, and updates, one physical event could become a digital story shared with thousands of people.
Turning Followers Into an Engaged Community
Publishing was never the final step. Community management became a major part of my work because people remember how a brand responds. I monitored comments and messages, answered basic enquiries, shared relevant registration links, and helped guide interested users towards the next step. I also supported lead tracking through social media campaigns and UTM-linked registration journeys. This experience showed me how social media management and audience engagement can connect brand awareness with genuine business outcomes.

One of my proudest achievements was contributing to the growth of ANAX Capital’s social media audience from zero to more than 11,200 followers in approximately 18 months. It did not come from one viral post. It was built through consistent content, audience engagement, page optimisation, campaigns, paid promotion, and continuous learning.
Alongside organic social media growth, I supported boosted content and Meta advertising campaigns. Organic content established the brand’s voice and relationships, while paid social media extended that message to broader, targeted audiences. Seeing both areas work together strengthened my understanding of digital marketing and performance optimisation.
Learning From Data, Challenges, and Change
Social media is constantly evolving, and every challenge taught me something. A low-performing post taught me to analyse, a difficult deadline taught me to prioritise, and changing trends taught me to adapt. At the end of each month, I reviewed growth, reach, impressions, engagement, video performance, audience behaviour, paid campaign results, and lead activity. Data helped me make stronger decisions for the next content calendar. Creativity gives content its voice; analytics reveal whether that voice is being heard.
I also supported the company’s social media verification process. In an industry where trust, authenticity, and protection from impersonation matter, this experience showed me how platform credibility contributes to brand reputation.

My Journey as a Social Media Marketer Continues
What first attracted me to social media was its creativity and energy. What made me stay was its deeper purpose: helping a brand find its voice, communicate clearly, build trust, and create meaningful audience relationships.
Today, I research, strategise, write, coordinate, publish, engage, analyse, and optimise. Most importantly, I transform complex ideas into clear communication and consistent efforts into measurable brand growth.
My journey has taught me that success in social media marketing does not happen overnight. It is built through curiosity, consistency, resilience, human insight, and continuous learning. I do not create content simply to fill a calendar. I create it to help a brand become seen, understood, remembered, and trusted. My journey is still being written, and I am excited to keep turning ideas into stories, posts into conversations, and followers into communities.
